Not For Profit
As a locally-based business, we love supporting people in our community who are going through a tough time. So when Te Omanga Hospice needed to raise $10 million, we were keen to get behind...
After being deemed earthquake prone, Te Omanga Hospice made the unenviable decision to demolish their historic building and rebuild. In order to erect a new facility that would best serve the people of The Hutt Valley for years to come, they had to raise $10 million. They needed a new campaign to inform businesses and residents of their decision, and begin fundraising.
Creative Mouse is proud to have a long-term relationship with Te Omanga Hospice, as we design their regular newsletters and yearly reports, along with any other ad hoc materials they might need to help raise awareness and crucial donations for their services. So we already knew their lovely team and understood their identity. We carried that insight over to this project, to make sure that the new materials would feel familiar to their supporters. First we developed the name, tagline, and logo for the campaign: Let’s Nail It Together: Help Rebuild Te Omanga Hospice. Then we provided all the collateral materials that would appeal to all demographics – from kids to the elderly. For the general public we designed high-impact billboards, newspaper adverts, social media campaigns, and direct mail. For businesses, trusts, and organisations we created a comprehensive report booklet with all the information that would make sure they felt comfortable and enthusiastic about offering a major investment to this very important project.
The materials we created have had a positive impact on the success of Te Omanga Hospice’s campaign. The advertising has reached a cross-section of the public, and community awareness is high. The corporate reports have also gone really well, with many big ticket items like the roof, whole rooms, and significant monetary donations being pledged. So far, they are around three-quarters of the way there – an incredible feat. It’s so rewarding for our team to be involved with such a highly visible campaign, but most importantly one that brings the community together to get behind
a truly life.
